Most people are accustomed to receiving chocolates, pens with the company’s name, mugs, or gift baskets as a corporate gift. However, in a survey released by The Creative Group, some of the corporate gifts received this year, can only be described as “weird”.
For example, people received gifts such as rocks, torn umbrellas, candles that smelt like burnt rubber, a can of bees, and even live snakes. (It is interesting to wonder what the people who sent these gifts were thinking!)
Other strange gifts received include pigeons, lab coats, sledge hammers, pillows, and my personal favorite – toy outhouses!
The nicer gifts included $2,000 shopping sprees, free golf lessons, and free flights.
The weirdest gift I have ever seen someone recieve at the job was a gift basket with toilet paper in them....personally, I think the person recieved the gift basket with goodies, then forgot that they didnt bring a gift for someone, ran to the bathroom, grabbed some toilet paper, and put them in the gift basket...waaalllaaaa...the best I've seen are personalized corporate gifts (http://www.fineawards.com) presented by the ceo publicly..nice touch, and always will be remembered, and appreciated when family members see these gifts.

The worst and the weired gift I got was a pair of boxing gloves! I seriously think people should make fair choice. Chocolate or foodie gift basket is so tempting but if the recipient is diabetic, and then would you believe he or she will be moved or will ever be glad on what you've handed? Or you've selected a book on "how to lose weight' or "how to become successful" to your colleague. Even though your intentions are pure, you stand back from these kinds of gifts.
